Jars of Glass and a Dragon
The prince just fell asleep he's resting his poor head
besides him lies the dragon sleeping but not dead
the princess fought it with a mirror and some clips
and then she tucked them in and kissed them on the lips
this is a bedtime story of a lullaby
it is a fragile thing so keep it in your smile
I'm catching butterflies I keep them in a jar
to sow a dress for you to wear when life gets hard
so you can fly away and drink the summer sky
catch up with all the smiles you almost left behind
this is a bedtime story of a lullaby
the dragon and the prince are holding hands in sleep
all while the princess swims among stars inside her dream
raise your umbrella so the wind can hold your hand
and so the clouds can smell the shampoo in your hair
this is a bedtime story of a lullaby
it is a fragile thing but don't be shy
your heart is big and there is sunlight in your eyes
so keep it in your heart and wear on your smile.
